Fred Crouch Bench

After a good deal of hard work, we installed the bench in the compound on the Royalty Fishery today!

Brilliant job by James Van Gowler, an impressive piece of work!

We dug three holes two foot deep in hard ground, and concreted the bench in, after it needed six of
us to carry it to the site! It ain’t going nowhere!

Big thanks to Martin and Dickie, also Mel who came to help, plus James’s dad and his pal Paul.

There will be a full write up in this weeks Anglers Mail.

Berkshire fish-ins

Berkshire Regional organiser Paul Rogers had his first fish-ins last weekend, with a group of happy anglers fishing the Reading DAA waters on the Kennet at Lower Benyons on the Saturday, and the Loddon at Whistley on the Sunday. Barbel were caught both days, and a couple lost, and all had a great time and learnt a bit about new techniques and new waters.

Paul had a nice ten pounder from the Loddon.

Next fish-in on the same Reading DAA waters will be on 4th/5th October.

A few places left for BS members.

BS membership will give you a reduced fee for Associate membership of RDAA, and some great Kennet and Loddon barbel fishing on their waters!
